“I live at campsites during the summer months in my tent and car; I do the same for the winter months, except when it is extremely cold I use the shelters to stay warm, and to socialize. I have lived like this for almost six years, sometimes being able to afford to rent a room here and there for days or weeks. It is a difficult lifestyle and not necessarily a chosen one. And I have made use of unemployment insurance, food donations, and food stamps. I am number 128 on a federal list of homeless people waiting for assistance. As for my image-making it helps to release tension, stress, and a polarity of feelings which, in turn, feed my creative source. This show is a result of dealing with time and issues, social goods and ills, private triumphs and failures, public opinions, and mental attitudes and persuasions.
